Margaret Ann (Kapala/Alkula) Sisko, of New York City…Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, passed away at Cardinal Cooke Nursing Home in NYC on December 5, 2021.
She was born July 28, 1937, in Ashtabula, Ohio to Michael and Dagmar Kapala. Margaret graduated in 1955 from Ashtabula High, where she was awarded the French Medal.
In 1958, she obtained her nurse's degree from St. Luke's Case Western University, then becoming head nurse to world renown heart specialist, 'Dr. Beck'. Her Physician Assistant title was forthcoming in 1982, from Mary Mount College, while working as supervisor, at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC.
She married John Sisko, of Hungary, at St. Mary's Church in Manhattan, where they resided in the Manhattan section of NYC for 40 years.
Margaret is survived by Irene Dagmar (Kapala) Kellogg, Martha Blume of Vero Beach and Carolyn Kapala of Manhattan; close nephews, Mark and William Kellogg; along with several other nieces and nephews and very close grand nieces and nephew; Michael Jacob, Megan Anne, and Kandice Irene Kellogg.
The Kellogg family sent a special "zoom" on Thanksgiving Day, expressing to Margaret, their gracious gratitude and love.
At her request, she will be cremated and laid to rest with her family at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, in North Kingsville, Ohio.
