Obituary of Terry Lee Welton

Terry Lee Welton, 66, of Ashtabula passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at UH- Geneva Medical Center. He was born December 22, 1954, in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of the late Jack and Evelyn (Anderson) Welton. Terry graduated from Edgewood High School and Atech Class of 1973. A lifelong area resident. Terry married the love of his life Diana Belt on July 20, 1973. Terry worked as a custodian at Ashtabula County Technical Career Campus (ATECH) for 29 years and was ready to retire at the end of the month. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and helping and participating with the Soap Box Derby. He enjoyed Nascar and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diana; son, Terry D. (Victoria) Welton; daughter, Lisa D. (Maria) Welton; brothers, Tracy (Kelly) Welton and Ed (Pearl) Waltari; grandchildren, Jordan, Julia, Kody, Kassidy, and Cristina; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Sophia, and Aiden. Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Renee Merriman and his parents. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 3PM at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1PM until the time of service at 3PM.
