Joseph V. Martin, 81, passed away on December 30, 2021, after a brief illness.
He was born on November 24, 1940, in Grafton, WV to Charles and Merle (Vance) Martin.
Joseph was a lifelong truck driver driving dump truck and over the road. After retiring he purchased two dump trucks to start M & J Trucking.
He enjoyed meeting friends for coffee, singing karaoke, sitting on the swing, and playing the lottery. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, picking berries, hunting, and attending car shows.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Violet Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary (Dorsey). Together they had five children, Ken (Bonnie), Chuck (Dee), Doug (Julie), and Steven Martin and Tina (Dave) Coudriet; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Respecting his wishes there will be no services. After cremation his remains will be scattered on a family plot in Grafton, WV.
