Obituary of Barbara Ann Ignot

Barbara A. Ignot ASHTABULA – Barbara Ann Ignot, 76, died Monday, January 3, 2022 at Carington Park. She was born March 5, 1945, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Kovacs) Ignot and had been a lifelong area resident. Barbara worked at Ashcraft for many years and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. A true angel, she touched the lives of all with whom she came into contact. Barbara loved stuffed animals, kitties in particular, the color pink, coloring, listening to Elvis and being with her family. She was a gentle soul a true “Child of God." Her survivors include her sister, Theresa R. Nieminen of Ashtabula; and her niece, Kristi (Fiancé` Brian Hamilton) Snyder, who had also been her guardian for many years; nephews, Logan and John Snyder; Brian’s daughters, Danica, Paige, Sadie and Macie Hamilton whom she considered nieces. Barbara was preceded in death by parents and her brother-in-law, Wayne Nieminen. Funeral Services to be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 12 Noon at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro funeral home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004. Rev. Raymond Thomas to preside. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A calling hour will be observed on January 6, 2022, from 11AM to 12 Noon at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the Activity Fund at Carington Park, 2217 West Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004.
