Obituary of Wilbert "Willie" Jordan

Wilbert “Willie” Glen Jordan, 93, of North Kingsville, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. A son of the late Glen and Rena Belle (Simmons) Jordan, Willie was born on September 9, 1928. A lifelong resident of Ashtabula County, Willie was a 1947 Graduate of Ashtabula High School. During his senior year, his basketball team went all the way to Semi Finals, the furthest the team had gone in the school’s history. After high school, Willie joined the United States Army, before being honorably discharged in 1950. On February 10, 1968, Willie married the love of his life, Donna Mae Jordan. Together, they celebrated 51 years of marriage before her passing in May 2019. Willie and Donna loved to entertain many friends throughout the years at the Jordan homestead. Willie loved basketball and went on to play well into his 40s. He also enjoyed organic gardening and traveling to many different places around the world. Willie is survived by his children, David (Lori) Jordan of Florida, and Faith Jordan of North Kingsville, Shem Parsons of Saybrook, Todd (Penni) Parsons of Wyoming, Kris Parsons of Florida, David (Lori) Parsons of North Kingsville; grandchildren, Cassandra (Kelly) Parsons, Alicia (Jeremy) Kightlinger, Taylor Lute, Sean Parsons, Jared Parsons, Ashleigh Parsons, Mikal Parsons, Cody Masella, and Benea Masella; great-grandchildren, Camden Lines, Connor Lines, Onnie Lines, Paxton and Jackson Kightlinger. In addition to his wife, Willie was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their gratitude to ACMC Regional Home Health Team, Hospice of the Western Reserve, Comfort Keepers, and the Ashtabula County Nursing Home for taking such good care of Willie.
