Obituary of Dona Lee Hreha

AUSTINBURG - Dona Lee Hreha, 92, of Ashtabula passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 6, 1929 in Jefferson the daughter of the late Robert and Amy (Case) Anderson. Dona graduated from Ashtabula High School Class of 1947 and remained a lifelong area resident. She married the love of her life John Hreha on June 30, 1951. Dona was a member of Our Lady of Peace St Joseph Parish. She enjoyed cooking knitting, crocheting, gardening and watching the birds. She was also an avid collect of Bells, most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Hreha is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Hreha and Nancy Lee Hreha both of Ashtabula, John David (Andrea) Hreha of New Philadelphia, OH, and Steven Jeffrey (Susie) Hreha of Berne, IN; her brother, Robert "Pete" Anderson of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Aaron, Ashley, Geoff, Megan, Jake, Alina, Alex, and Aidan; and four great-grandchildren, Reese, Regan, Gatlin, and Sutton (who was born the day she passed). Dona was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2014; daughter, Annette Danielle Garber in 2021; sisters, Amy Pugh, Barbara Skidmore, and Dolores Anderson; her brother, William Anderson; and her parents. A service will be held at 11AM Saturday, May 7,2022 at the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, West 19th St. (Carpenter Road), Ashtabula. Rev. Raymond Thomas, Pastor of Our Lady of Peace Parish, will preside. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
