Obituary of Ikeem Olijawon Hill

Ikeem O. “Love” Hill ASHTABULA- Ikeem Olijawon “Love” Hill, 24 passed away January 14, 2022, while a patient at the Cleveland Clinic. The beloved son of Elisher Hill and Carol Thompson, Love was born on April 26, 1997, in Ashtabula, Ohio. He moved from Ashtabula with his family as a young child, graduating from Pottstown High School and returning to Ashtabula in 2015. Love was a dedicated employee of MFG; where his work ethic, sense of humor and sense of responsibility was recognized by his supervisors and fellow employees. Love was a musician in every sense of the word; he wrote and composed songs, listened to R&B and Rap music, enjoyed sharing his talents with others and gaining new perspectives in the music world. Love’s greatest enjoyment came from being with his family; he was a good son, brother, uncle and friend to all. His smile lit up the room, his joy of playing with nieces and nephews brought a smile to everyone’s face. Love is survived by his mother, Carol Thompson; father, Elisher Hill; siblings, Shawntaela Mann, Keith Mann, Elijah Hill, Tanisha Ford and Tanayja Hill; grandmother, Essoline Hill; God Mother and aunt, Kim Thompson; special aunts, Ruby Thompson, Becky Thompson, Darlene Thompson, Jeanette Coleman, Shannon Hill, Betty Hill, Essoline Paul; uncles, James Thompson and Anthony Hill; loving nieces and nephews; cousins and many friends. Love was preceded in death by his grandparents, Icy Thompson, Carrie Thompson; E.L. Hill; uncle, Melvin Thompson. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 1PM at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004. Rev. Willie Henry, Pastor of Central Missionary Baptist Church of Jefferson officiating. Visitation will be observed from 11AM-1PM on Saturday, January 29 at the funeral home.
