Rita J. (nee Hartlieb) Douglas-Dunn, 77, of Ashtabula passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born June 30, 1944, in Niagara Falls, New York, the daughter of the late John and Marie (Bentges) Hartlieb. Rita was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was an amazing spitfire of a lady with a big heart and even bigger attitude. She will always be remembered for her kindness and caring nature.
Rita is survived by her children, Robin (John Kidder) Weir, John Douglas, Teri Douglas, Kip (Rachelle) Douglas; stepchildren, Kris Dunn and Amanda (Mark) Tenbrink; sister, Judy (Al) Cinco; grandchildren, Chris (Sheri) Weir, Katlynn (Nick) Weir, Kara Norman, Keith (Ciara) Jones, and Bryce Douglas; nine great-grandchildren; and her K-9 companion Maxx.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dunn, son-in-law, Chris Weir, and her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 4PM at the First United Methodist Church, 4506 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. Friends may call from 3PM until the time of service.
