Obituary of Dorothy Jane (DeJohn) Patriarco

ASHTABULA-Dorothy Jane (DeJohn) Patriarco, 96, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at ACMC. Born October 6, 1925, in Canonsburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Jackovic) Churney. Strong in her faith, Dorothy attended Our Lady of Peace Parish throughout the years. Dorothy was a longtime member of Cedars of Lebanon Club Ashtabula. She was a full-time homemaker. She loved to crochet and donated several afghans to St. Joseph and Mt. Carmel Catholic Churches for their summer festivals. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Joseph DeJohn (Sue) of Roaming Shores and Rose Marie Hyman of South Carolina; grandchildren, Bob, Matt and Greg DeJohn, Micky and Ronn Hale, Renee Stowe and Valerie DeJohn; eight great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews and three stepsons. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl DeJohn; second husband, Anthony Patriarco; son, Mark DeJohn; five brothers, Joseph, Martin, John, Francis, and Albert, and three sisters; Mamie, Elizabeth, and Kathleen. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 2PM-3PM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula immediately followed by the service starting at 3PM. A private burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Ashtabula.
