Obituary of James Clark Bressler

James Clark Bressler passed away early Saturday morning February 5, 2022, at home. He was born on May 4, 1939, in Grand Rapids Ohio, to George Bressler and Lucille Roach Bressler.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne Armstrong Bressler; his three children, daughter, Valerie (Dan) Weger; daughter, Marla (Jim) Burton; son, James Bressler; his grandchildren, Shayla (Scott) Davis, Kylee Weger (fiancé Shane Taylor, Alayna (Jon) Pendleton, James Bressler, and McKenzie Burton; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Davis, Evan Davis, Ellowyn Davis, Aiden Davis, and Quinn Burton; his brother, William (Keri) Bressler ; his sister, Donna Sperry; his sister in law, Nancy Bressler and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Thomas and Raymond Bressler; and his mother in law, Lillian Burchfield Armstrong.
He served 4 years active duty and 2 years inactive duty with the United States Navy.
He worked at Ashtabula Bow Socket, Ashtabula True Temper, M1 Abraham’s Tank plant in Lima, Ohio. Jim then went on to retire from Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co.
He was a member of the American Legion in Grand Rapids, Ohio. He was very fond of family and friends. Jim was a Cub Scout leader. He was a member of Kingsville First Baptist Church, where he held many offices including trustee. Jim loved the Lord and was a believer. He loved animals and always tried to help them. Jim was an avid reader and video game player. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was a very generous person. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, North Kingsville, Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula. Leave condolences at Ducro.com.
