Obituary of Jennie Edna Anderson

JEFFERSON – Jennie Edna (Holt) Ferguson Anderson, 101, of East Jefferson Street passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Carington Park. Born on February 4, 1921, in Hammond, Indiana, Jennie was a daughter of Gomer and Grace (Hildum) Holt and had been a Jefferson resident since 1986. Prior to her retirement, she worked for WEK Industries in Jefferson and previously for Conlee Nursing Home, Geneva, Kay Dee Industries, Orwell, and Geauga Industries of Middlefield. She was an active member of the Geneva Baptist Church, where she served as secretary and treasurer, and the Plymouth United Methodist Church. Formerly a member of the 55 & Much Alive Club in Sheffield, she enjoyed bowling in leagues, crocheting, knitting, reading, and watching the Cleveland Indians and game shows on television. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Darlyne Gamlin of Windsor, three sons, Larry (Patti) Anderson of Ashtabula, Donald (Anne) Anderson of Chiefland, FL, and Gary (Christine) Anderson of Winter Haven, FL; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Anderson in 1970; her second husband, Clinton Ferguson in 2004; three sisters, Edith Slay, Ollie Runyan, and Gladys Lahner; one brother, Harold Holt; and her parents. Calling hours will be from 10AM to 11AM on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Ducro Funeral Services, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula immediately followed by the service starting at 11AM. Rev.
