Obituary of Karen A. Montanaro

Karen Ann Montanaro, 64, of Ashtabula, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Lakepoint Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 14, 1957, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Carmen and Violet (Solembrino) Montanaro and was a lifelong Ashtabula resident. She graduated from Saint John High School, Class of 1976. Karen was a member of Our Lady of Peace parish. She was an avid Country Music fan, enjoying multiple live concerts of Keith Urban, who was her favorite. She was a talented baker and artist – her family and friends enjoyed many of her beautifully decorated cakes for special occasions and homemade cookies for the holidays. Karen’s smile, laugh and conversation will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Karen is survived by her cousins, Joseph (Joan) Montanaro, Donna (Michael) Boggs, Caroline (Walter) Harris, John (Patricia) Montanaro, Theresa (Frank) Daniels, Michelle (Christopher) McClure, her best friend, Sharon (Walter) Jackson, many more cousins and “adopted” nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Marie in 1956, her father in 1957 and her mother in 1977. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 11AM at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W.
