Obituary of Marcia Christy

Marcia J. Christy (Campbell), passed away peacefully on Monday, February 14, 2022, after a long goodbye at the age of 88. She is reunited with her husband Wayne Richard ("Dick") in everlasting peace. Marcia was a devoted wife and caring mother who always put family first. She made every occasion special with her baking, meals, and love. Marcia was the strongest person many of us will ever know, rising to the challenges in her life without complaint and grateful for its blessings. She lived a good life, created happiness for others, and was special to those who knew her. Marcia is survived by her children Gary (Emily), Jeanne Niemi (Robert), Michael (Judi) and Jim; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and loving nieces. She was preceded by her parents, Paul and Rose Campbell of Linesville, PA.; and sisters Pat Marsh and Mary Alice Meadors. Her extended family was the congregation of First United Methodist Church, where she worked and volunteered, and a large circle of wonderful and caring friends. Her family is grateful for the compassionate care she received in her final years from the wonderful staff on D Wing of Ashtabula County Nursing Home. A service will be held for family and friends at First United Methodist Church of Ashtabula, 4506 Park Ave., Ashtabula, Friday, February 18, 2022, at 12:00PM with Pastor Preston Watkins, officiating. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 11AM until time of services at 12PM. Memorials in her name may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula.
