Obituary of Joyce Elaine Campagna

Joyce Elaine Campagna, 72, of Pierpont passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 11, 2022. She was born February 18, 1950, in Ashtabula, Ohio the daughter of the late Arvin and Helen (Brockett) Thomas. Joyce graduated from Edgewood High School in 1968 and earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Kent State University. Joyce enjoyed teaching at Rock Creek Elementary. Joyce married the love of her life John Campagna on June 16, 1973. Joyce was an active member of the Pierpont Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed many activities with friends including crafting, book clubs, and daily walks. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and baking. Most of all Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Campagna is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, John; daughter, Melissa “Lisa” Jeffers; son, Vincent “Vinnie” Campagna; sister, Carol Fox; and grandchildren, Autumn and Braden Jeffers, and Alaina and Anthony Campagna. She was preceded in death by her parents. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 11AM-1:00PM at the Pierpont Presbyterian Church, 71 State Route 7, Pierpont, Ohio. Funeral services to follow at 1:00PM at the church with Rev. Larry Carr officiating. Her final resting place will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont.
