Obituary of Brock Elliott Taylor

Brock E. Taylor GENEVA - Brock Elliott Taylor, 60 died unexpectedly on Monday, March 14, 2022, UH Cleveland. The son of Thomas and Brynn (Hall) Taylor Brock was born on December 14, 1961, in Ashtabula. Brock and Terry Hutzell were joined marriage on February 14, 2006, together they enjoyed sixteen years of creating memories. Brock was a large part of so many lives; he was a son, brother, husband, grandpa, nephew, cousin, band member and friend. He never met a stranger and was so generous to so many. Brock will live on in the lives of others as he was an Organ Donor. Brock was a caregiver for his dad, Tom. They spent so much time together enjoying each other’s company. His love of music played a large part of his life his nickname was” Guitar Man” he was so proud of that name. Brock was a member of Thunder Creek and played at many local venues with his fellow band members, Gary, Mark, Vern and Gary S. Blessed with a great sense of humor Brock would cause you to smile at his jokes, you felt good by just being with him, he could be your shoulder to lean on and he would encourage and support you. Brock loved his canine companions, Sadie Mae and Teddy. Brock enjoyed his 1967 VW Beetle as well as his Toyota Tundra they were his is pride and joy were both pristine, and he knew he looked good behind the wheel. Brock is survived by his devoted wife, Terry Taylor, stepson, Jarrod Detweiler, grandchildren, Kiyren Grace Norris and Carrigan Reese Detweiler; dad, Thomas Taylor; siblings, Kimberly (Laz Garcia) Rivera, George Taggart, Renee Auxier; special aunts, Dorothy Cooper, Sherry Kuhn and Dan; in-laws, Janet Hutzell, Geno Modarelli; special nephew and friend Chaz Bennett; special nieces, Stephanie Bennett and Lisa Landy; nephews Gary Girard, Mathew Petrie, Mark Prieto and Steven Loumis; Sadie Mae and Teddy his dogs. Brock was preceded in death by his mom, Brynn Hall Taylor, grandparents, Emily and Gradie Taylor, and his canine companion Bandit. Funeral Services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva Ohio. Calling hours will be observed from 11AM until 1PM Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the funeral home.
