Obituary of Meredith Bent Miskowich

Please share a memory of Meredith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Meredith Bent Miskowich was born August 3, 1946, in New York City. She grew up in Ashtabula, attended Harbor High School, and obtained her Master’s in Psychology from Antioch University. She was married on Nantucket in 1982. She is survived by her husband Don, her two sons, Andrew and Brian, and her seven remaining siblings. Meredith was a talented jewelry designer, poet and scholar. Her beadwork was shown multiple times at the Topanga Canyon Gallery, outside Los Angeles, CA, where she was treasurer for many years. Her ties to California and her friends there were maintained through her work for Sarlan Builders. When she returned to Ashtabula, Meredith funneled her desire to give back to her hometown into work for the Hubbard House Underground Railroad Museum. An avid reader, she became a member of the Women’s Fortnightly Club, and often spent hours feeding her voracious curiosity with a book in her hands. Her love of exotic plants and soft heart for animals produced a home lush with life, into which she was eager to bring her friends. Meredith died on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Her calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Zaback Williams Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Street, Ashtabula, Ohio and a private funeral service will be held. Please leave condolences at Ducro.com
