Carol Ann Evans, 80, of Dorset passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Jefferson Health Care Center. She was born April 8, 1942, in Coudersport, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late William and Billie (Smith) Chandler. Carol graduated from Ashtabula High School. She married the love of her life Thomas Evans on March 8, 1961. In her younger days Carol and Tom enjoyed bowling. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. But most of all her greatest passion in life was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was what was most important to her and brought her, her greatest joys in life. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Thomas; daughters, Cindi (Malcolm) Quay of New Bern, North Carolina, Joanna (Travis) Minnick of Meadville, PA, and Diana Evans of DuBois, PA; brother, Edward (Elizabeth) Chandler; grandchildren, Phylicia (Matthew) Dunaway, Jeremy (Sara) Carter, Kayla (Spencer) Ransom, and Michelle Carter; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Meadow, Jared, James, Jayden, Khloe, and Liam. Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Chandler, and her parents. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 12-2PM at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula.
