Ronald W. McNutt Canton- Ronald W. McNutt, 82, passed away on February 14,2022. Born and raised in Ashtabula, he was a lifelong hard worker, helping support his family at a local butcher shop from the age of twelve. He went to a career as a telephone installer with Mid-Continent Telephone corporation. Forty-five years and several mergers later, he retired from Alltel in 2002. In 2003, he moved to Canton, where he enjoyed his retirement. As a loving husband, father and grandfather, Ron enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a skilled woodworker and carver and spent countless hours crafting gifts for his family. He would obsess about every flaw in what he created, but we truly loved every single piece. He was also an avid coin collector and did puzzles in his spare time. In his earlier years he was a member of Ashtabula Rod & Gun club, where enjoyed skeet shooting and fishing. Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Helen McNutt, he is survived by his wife of thirty-five years; Linda ”Lyn;” sons, Andrew(Heather) James(Tracie) and Christopher; grandchildren, Amber, Shelby, Ryan, and Conner: and three great-grandchildren.
