Sharon Ann Murton, 75, of Jefferson, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022, at UH-Geneva Medical Center. She was born August 6, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of the late John Leonard and Elizabeth "Betty" Jane (Butler) Sheldt. Sharon married the love of her life Daniel R. Murton on March 12, 1962, and recently celebrated 60 years of love and marriage. Sharon enjoyed Sunday drives with her husband Daniel, playing BINGO, her faithful K-9 companion, Bella. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Daniel; children, John (Linda) Murton, Lynette (Rodney) Johnson, and Meeco Sheldt; nine grandchildren, Franky, Alisha, and Steven Murton, Amanda Cusano, Eric Johnson, Kimber Eaton; Kyra Crossman, and Amber Johnson; siblings, Steve (Angela) Sheldt, Janet (Dave) King, Cyndy Hendricks, Rex (Terresa) Sheldt, Paula Dyson, and Marla Sheldt 17 great-grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Justin Murton, Brandon Stone, Emily Murton, Ellise Murton, Hailey Murton, Noella Murton, Michael Murton, Zooey Cusano, Leelan Murton, Mason Cusano, Nora Rose, Sammy Murton, Colette Murton, Mila Lemmon-Johnson, Daniel Rose, and Riley Lemmon-Johnson; and two great-great grandchildren, Aiden Johnson, and Kinsley Murton. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Anthony Sheldt; sister, Carolyn Black and her parents. A private family service will be held on Wednesday at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude's Research Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
