Obituary of Marion V. Wheeler

Marion V. Wheeler, 103, of Ashtabula, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. Born November 23, 1918, in Conneaut, OH, she was a daughter of the late Clayton C. and Bessie (Guest) Crandall. On August 11, 1934, she married the love of her life, Cyrus Wheeler Sr. Mrs. Wheeler enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband and traveling to Canada and California. She was also a member of the Eagles Club and Ashtabula Senior Center Singles Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and spending time with her beloved family and friends. She is survived by her children, Barbara Reams, Juanita Goddard, Sandra Carpenter, Connie Spencer (Douglas Mayle, Sr.); daughter-in-law, Mary Wheeler; 27 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren; sister, Betty Zumpft. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus; son, Cyrus Wheeler Jr.; her siblings Lottie Phillips, Dorothy Grooms, Marvella Allen, Howard Crandall, Robert Crandall; and her parents. A service will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave, Ashtabula OH 44004 with Rev. Jeff Stoll, pastor of Saybrook United Methodist, officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.
