Obituary of Peter Herbert Cicon

Peter H. Cicon, 86, of Ashtabula, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born May 12, 1936, in Jefferson, Ohio the son of the late Peter P. and Mary (Rock) Cicon. A lifelong area resident, Peter graduated from Edgewood High School Class of 1955. After high school he went on to honorably serve our country in the United State Army where he worked in the Army Security Agency. Pete worked for RMI for many years before his retirement in 1990. During his tenure there he was a salesman, a class "A" pipe fitter, and retired working in the maintenance department. Pete was a longtime member of the East Ashtabula Club, the Moose Lodge, the American Legion, and the VFW. Peter lived a long and prosperous life. He was active in many groups. In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching his children's little league teams. He was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Pete is survived by his sons, Jason (Kelly) Cicon, and Jeff Cicon; brother, Henry Cicon; grandchildren, Jarred (Chrissy)Cicon, Jordyn (Keith) Rodgers, Colin (Kelly) Cicon, Conor Cicon, and Caden Cicon; and five great-grandchildren, Bryson and Mia Cicon, Lainey and Haley Rodgers, and August Cicon. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jannelle Parsons; sisters, Mary Ann Coccitto, Jean (Dick) Davis, and Irene (Al) Philipson; son-in-law, Chuck Parsons; sister-in-law, Jan Cicon; and his parents. Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, in North Kingsville.
