GENEVA, OH - Eric M. Ollila, 75, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2022 from his bout with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Fran (Sajdak) Ollila; children, Shane Ollila, Erynn Ollila-Brennenstuhl, and Joshua (Moriah) Ollila; grandchildren, Dylan Ollila, Corbyn Ollila, Weston Brennenstuhl, and Keira Brennenstuhl; great-grandchild Harlee Ollila; and sister-in-law Patricia Ollila. Preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers, Jack, Neil, Bill and Arthur; and sisters-in-law, Betty, Lillian and Jean Ollila. Eric was born on September 1, 1946 to John and Mamie (Murto) Ollila in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating from Madison High School in 1964, he went on to study Mathematics at Valparaiso University. Eric and Fran were married and moved to Warren, OH where he was employed by Packard Electric as an engineer. He left Packard and went on to own many of his own successful businesses. Eric loved golfing, swimming, and biking which he participated in frequently. Visitation will be from 12PM to 1PM on Sunday June 26th, 2022 at Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula immediately followed by the service at 1PM with Rev.
