Obituary of Joseph Eugene Luce

Joseph E. Luce ASHTABULA- Joseph Eugene Luce, 38, passed away on Thursday, June 23 2022 after a long courageous battle with Renal Failure. The son of Russell Luce and Kimberly Frasure, Joe was born on April 16, 1984, in Conneaut and had remained a lifelong Ashtabula County resident. Joe attended Conneaut Church of God with Savannah and their children. After a long courtship, Joe and Savannah Dawson were united in marriage on June 5, 2021. They were each other’s best friends, sharing their thoughts and dreams along the way. They treasured their time together and those memories are now treasures of the heart. Joe was a tinkerer, not always did everything work as before after he “fixed” it but he tried. Joe was known as “Joe Gyver” to his family and friends. He was great at repairing computers, working with model cars. He was a frequent visitor to Harbor Freight and had almost every tool sold; he was proud of his collection. Joe had a green thumb, and his porch garden was growing quite well. Joe had a soft side for animals especially cats, he would reminisce about Spunky and Mama. Joe will be remembered as a good son, brother, husband, dad and uncle. Loyal to his family and friends, Joe could be counted on to help anyone he was asked. Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Savannah; children, Dakota Thompson, Nathan Huffman, Kylie Pudder and Aradesa Pudder; siblings, Anthony Luce, Thomas Horvath, Holly Horvath, Amanda Jones and John Costa; parents, Russell and Mary Luce, Kimberly and Eric Richards; many loving nieces and nephews and friends. Joe was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Funeral Services will be held at 3PM on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the Pentecostal Church of God,2221 Cook Road, Ashtabula, Ohio. Pastors Kenneth Roberts and Carson Robson to officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:PM until time of Service at 3PM at the church. If desired, contributions may be made to the family.
