Letha (Carlson) Moores Long Kingsville - Letha was lifted from this earthly life to a new resurrected life with her Savior, loved ones, and friends who have gone ahead of her. She lived a long, good life of 94 years. She was born March 15th, 1928, in Denmark Township. Letha was married in 1948 to Don Moores and they had three children, David, Jeffrey and Cynthia. She worked at Ohio Bell, Moores Farm Supply, and Letha started the Lunch Box in Ashtabula with her son, Jeffrey. Letha was known as a hard worker and a wonderful mother. Her nieces and nephews adored her, and she had a special relationship with all three of her sisters and her parents. Letha had a way of making her friends and family feel loved and her humor and faith always lifted their burdens. She had the gift of hospitality, and she could pull together a good meal; her specialty was pie making. Letha enjoyed bowling, knitting, camping and family get togethers. She always attended church and lived out her faith. She was a strong woman with good Christian character. A celebration of her life was given on her 94th birthday of this year, March 15th, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, and she was able to attend it and enjoyed seeing her good friends and relatives who could come. She was preceded in eternal life by her mother and father, Mildred (Jamison) Carlson Jones and Albert Carlson; sisters, Virginia Cruea, Wilma Barker, and Kathryn Herndon. She will also be reunited with her two sons, David Bruce Moores and Jeffrey Alan Moores. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Greg and Cynthia Woodburn, and her dog, Gracie. She also has grandchildren and great-grandchildren by her son Jeffrey: Susan Bell (Mike), Dylan, Megan, and Teagan Bell, Tehfeh Haynes (Travis), Mya and Addy Haynes, and Jeffrey Moores, Jr. She will be missed but remembered for all the good times we had together.
