Obituary of Ruth M. Reinker

Ruth Reinker Saybrook- Ruth M. Reinker, 96 passed on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, while resident of Saybrook Landing. The daughter of Steven Padavik and Anne Fiegehenn, Ruth was born May 7, 1926, in Cleveland and graduated from Collinwood High School. May 3, 1952, she and Richard Reinker were united in marriage and for fifty-nine years prior to Dick’s death in 2011; they had many adventures which have now become treasures of the heart. Ruth was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and was active on many committees. Her willingness to help and cheerful smile made her so enjoyable to be with. For several years Ruth sold real estate and enjoyed finding just the right home for her clients which later became friends. Ruth was an avid reader, she enjoyed going to the beach whether in Ashtabula or Florida. She belonged to the Ashtabula Garden Club, Red Brook Boat Club, and Messiah Day Timers Group. Ruth and members from Messiah enjoyed gathering at each other’s homes and spending time together. One of the pastimes of the group was making Korv a Swedish Christmas Sausage. Ruth was so proud of her family she celebrated their achievements and triumphs was so excited when she could be with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.; as well as nieces and nephews. Ruth is survived by her son Keith(Patty) Reinker; grandchildren, Brandon(Jackie) Reinker, Michael(Christy) Bucci and Michelle(Mike) Bartelme ; great grandchildren, Danielle(Stephen) Carpenter, Juliana Bucci, Michael Bucci, Gino Bucci, Nico Bucci, and River Reinker; sister, Gloria Whittington, nieces and nephews, Marcia Hesselgrave, Chris Hesselgrave, and Barb Hesselgrave, Cindy Herman, Karen Herman and Bobby Herman. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Reinker; her son, Richard Reinker; sister, Esther Herman and her parents. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 12 noon at Messiah Lutheran Church, 615 West Prospect Road Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004. Interim Pastor, Stephen Fisher officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM until time of service in the Luther Room of Messiah Lutheran Church.
