Obituary of James (Jim) Scott Lister

Please share a memory of James (Jim) to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James (Jim) Scott Lister, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Born on February 9, 1963, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Marilyn (Jerauld) Lister and the late Gene Lister. He graduated from Harbor High School in 1981. Jim proudly served in the United States Navy (Submarine) from 1981-1984. Jim was a longtime resident of Ashtabula before moving to Mentor. He was employed at First Energy and International Paper in Ashtabula. He had a 20-year career as Project Manager with Hitachi Medical Systems in Twinsburg, Merry Xray in Mentor and recently TriMark in Cleveland. Jim worked very hard to provide a great life for his family; remodeling his houses to make them “our home” and devoted himself to caring for his father before his passing and family members whenever needed. He enjoyed watching sports, action movies, cooking, and listening to music. Jim was a man of integrity, with a goofy sense of humor and fun-loving spirit. He had a great soul and will be dearly missed by all! Jim is survived by his wife, Traci (Mann); children, Gabriel Lister, Alexis Lister and fur baby Tink; mother, Marilyn Lister; brothers, Tim and Terry Lister of Ashtabula; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jim is reunited with his father, Gene, playing a round of golf! Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 11AM at Saybrook Cemetery, Ashtabula. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s name may be made to the APL or Humane Society, Ashtabula. Ducro Funeral Service and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula is handling arrangements.
