Obituary of Edward A. Anderson

Edward A. Anderson, 76, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 29, 1946, in Ashtabula, Ohio to Harry and Esther (Lundi) Anderson. Eddie was a lifelong Ashtabula resident working as a carpenter with Local 880 for many years. He loved to remodel and was very creative in building and putting projects together. He loved spending time in his garage working on various jobs. He was very generous in helping others. Eddie had quite the sense of humor that made him unique. He loved to make those around him laugh and enjoyed talking with people. He enjoyed his time with his family and was very proud of his grandchildren. Eddie was a veteran in the US Army and was stationed in Germany serving as a Military Policeman. He was honorably discharged in 1967. He was a member of the American Legion, and East Ashtabula Club. He was also a former member of the Elks. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ruth Patton. Eddie is survived by is wife of 53 years, Karen (Johns); his daughters, Amanda (Jeff) Hinkle and Jennifer (Michael) Drake; his grandchildren, Katelyn Anderson, Kristen Drake, Sara Drake, Clayton Hinkle, and Samuel Hinkle; his brother, John (Carol) Anderson and their children, Christopher, Josh, and Laura; his sister Ruth’s children, Jeffrey, Michael, and Shelby. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the Family Alliance Church, 3137 E. Center Street, North Kingsville, Ohio at 12:00 PM. Calling hours will be held at the church from 11: 00 AM until the time of the service. Ducro Funeral Home and Crematory, Ashtabula assisted the family.
