Obituary of Victoria Simko

Victoria Lynn Simko, 66, of Ashtabula passed away, September 28, 2022, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1956, in Ashtabula the daughter of the late Marvin E. and Antoinette "Nettie" (Schultz) Rodgers. A lifelong area resident Victoria graduated from Ashtabula High School Class of 1974. She attended Kent State University. In her early days she tended bar, and then went on to work as a cook at Rae-Ann Nursing Home, Country Club Retirement, and Ashtabula County Medical Center. She married the love of her life Michael Simko on March 30, 1999. Vicky enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, watching detective shows, listening to music and was an avid sports fan. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her faithful K9 companion Allie. Vicky is survived by her husband of 23 years, Michael; sisters, Beverly McCabe of Chandler, AZ and Debbie (Dennis) O'Brien of Willoughby Hills, OH; brothers, Cameron Rodgers of Chandler, AZ, and Gary Rodgers of Murrieta, CA; her dog, Allie; and two nieces, Erin and Bridgette. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Rodgers and her parents. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 5-7PM at the Ashtabula Eagles Club, 527 Center St., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
