Obituary of Jo Ann Riffe

Jo Ann Riffe, 84 of North Kingsville, Ohio moved into her heavenly home on November 2, 2022. She was born December 17, 1937, in Jolo, WV to Earnie Gibson and Nancy (Hagerman) Gibson. Jo Ann grew up in the mountains of West Virginia. She met and married Charlie Riffe May 24, 1954, in Lebanon VA. They moved to Ohio soon after and raised their six children. JoAnn worked at various jobs in the early years. In the early 70's she started working for Conley's dept store in North Kingsville where she worked for 19 years until their closing. She then went to work for the Ash County Nursing Home where she worked until her retirement. She served the Lord, working in the church as a Sunday school teacher and women's ministry leader for many years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her happiest times were spent with her family. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charlie, her brothers George, Tom, Willie Mac and Arthur; and her sisters Mary and Dorthy. She is survived by her children. Roger Riffe and Ernest (Donna) Riffe, both of North Kingsville, Rita (Jess) Keen of Maiden, NC, Jeff (Chris) Riffe of Stuart VA, Linda (JR) Johnson of Conneaut, and Brenda (W.L.) Parsons of Canton; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews she loved dearly. The lives touched by our mother’s love for Christ and sharing that love through her gifts, the list is too long. Thank you Mom, see you soon.
