Obituary of Donald Leroy Miller

Donald Leroy Miller, 83, formerly of Ashtabula, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born June 10, 1939, in Big Run, PA, the son of the late Allen and LaVera Miller. Don graduated from Punxsutawney High School Class of 1957. He married the love of his life Julianna F. Yonkovitz on October 25, 1970. Don spent most of his life in Ashtabula, where he was an oil well driller and also owned the Dugout Sports Lounge on Route 20 for many years. Don was a longtime member of the Ashtabula and Reynoldsburg Ohio Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Steelers sports fan. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing poker and shooting pool. Mr. Miller is survived by his children, Stacy (Robert) Van Dyke, Lori (Michael) Flynn and Mark Miller; six grandchildren, Heather Flynn, Shawna (Levi) Hutchinson, John Miller, Michael Goebel, Jennifer Goebel and David Goebel; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Julianna in 2007; brothers, Edward and James Miller; and his parents. A service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 12PM at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3140 E. Center St. (SR 20), North Kingsville with The Rev. Dr. Michael Meranda officiating.
