Glen V. Osburn, 87, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 7th, 2022. Born on September 24th, 1935 to Glen V. Osburn Sr. and Wavelette (Mayberry) Osburn in Sheffield, Ohio and was a lifelong resident of Ashtabula County. He graduated from Kingsville High School. After high school, Glen honorably served his country in the U.S Army from 1954 – 1957. Over the years, Glen worked in the Audit Department with Farmers National Bank for 15 years. While working at Farmers Bank, he studied to get his deputy training certificate and then went on to work as a deputy for the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department for 25 years. He then went on to work in the Ashtabula County Victims of Crime department as the administrator until his retirement in 2001. During his working career, Glen also worked as a security guard for Don King Estates for 22 years. Glen’s hobbies included collecting stamps and had a large collection of toy tractors. He was also a member of Ashtabula First Grace Gospel Church, as well as the Sheffield Grange and the Orion Masonic Lodge #353 for 50+ years. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Nancy (Beckwith) Osburn, whom he married on January 21st, 1995; children Douglas (Pam) Osburn, Michele (Joe) Platano both of Ashtabula, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister Donna Kauffman. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Carroll Osburn; and sister, Violet Fuller. The family would like to thank the staff and administrator of the Pine Grove Nursing Facility for their love and care of Glen. At the request of Glen, no services will be held.
