Twila A. Smith, 93, of Erie, PA died Friday, November 18, 2022 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Ellen Smith, in Conneaut. She was born January 11,1929 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Hubert and Pearl (Bell) Davis and had lived in Ripley, NY most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a deli manager for Loblaw's for many years. A Mormon by faith, she was always a particular about her appearance being a sharp dresser with never a hair out of place in public. She loved baking and flower gardening and enjoyed travelling, having taken numerous trips to Europe. She had a great sense of humor and was especially fond of roses, wild violets, and hummingbirds. Her survivors include two children, Steve (Ellen) Smith of Conneaut and Norman (Marie "Sparky") Smith of Woodland Park, CO; six grandchildren, Amy (Perry) Gordon, Jason (Monica) Smith, James (Megan Copeland) Boucher, Ellen Benson, Brad Ward, and Christina (Zane Cross) Ward; 10 great-grandchildren, James, Jr., Jeremiah, Cameron, Faith, Amelia, Isabella, Annabellya, Mark, Dakota, and Dalelynn; her former husband and father of her children, Everett Smith of Westfield, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, William, and Kenneth Davis; one sister, Margaret Hurst; and her parents. Private services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH 44004 or Shriners Hospital for Children – Erie, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
