Obituary of Robert "Bud" R. Pallutch, Sr.

Robert R. “Bud” Pallutch Sr., 91, of Ashtabula, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Carrington Park Nursing Home. A lifelong Ashtabula resident, Bud was born on December 19th, 1930, the son of the late Raymond and Adra Pallutch. He graduated from Ashtabula High School Class. After high school, Bud joined the U.S. Army during the Korean War and honorably served his country. On December 2, 1992, he married the love of his life, Martha Sintic and together they shared 30 wonderful years together. Strong in his faith, Bud was a lifelong member of The Ridge Nazarene Church, Ashtabula, where he served as an usher and treasurer. Proud of his legacy, Bud owned and operated Happy’s Golden Donuts in Ashtabula for 40 years until his retirement. In his spare time, he volunteered at the Salvation Army. Bud’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. Left to cherish Bud’s memory is his wife, Martha Pallutch; three children, Robert R. (Kathy) Pallutch Jr. of Terre Haute, IN, Michael (Amanda) Knox of Ashtabula, Mark (Holly) Knox of Ashtabula, and son-in-law Steve Penry; nine grandchildren, Tina (Don) Christner, Amy (Gary) Bagley, Gina (Mike) Bice, Kelly Pierce, BJ Pallutch, Jenna (Mark) Sandvick, Kevin Limpert, Mark Knox Jr, and Memphis Knox; 15 great-grandchildren, Hailee, Timmy, Ben, Madison, Seth, Zachary, Chandler, Cohen, Sam, Abram, Penny, Ethan, Ezra, Michael, and Gianna; brother, Richard Pallutch of Geneva. Along with his parents, Raymond and Adra, Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie (Shinault) Pallutch; his daughter, Linda (Pallutch) Penry; and his three brothers, Jerry, Joseph, and Norman Pallutch. Calling hour will be held on Saturday, November 26th, 2022, from 11AM to 12PM at The Ridge Nazarene Church, 1820 S Ridge Rd. W, Ashtabula, OH 44004, immediately followed by the funeral service at 12PM. Pastor Ron Seigman will be officiating.
