Kathleen (Walton) Thompson passed away unexpectedly December 14th, 2022, at Geneva UH Hospital in the company of her children and grandchildren. She was born March 11th, 1952, in Cleveland Ohio, to Paul Walton and Alice "Penny" (Pendergast) Walton and is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Thompson Jr., sister Marianne Walton. Survived by her brother Joseph Walton, her children Pamela Thompson and Joseph Thompson, her daughter in law Danelle (Wahl) Thompson, and her grandchildren Blake (Molli) Thompson, Jillian Thompson, niece Heather (Thompson) Early, nephew Kenneth Thompson Jr., several cousins, and beloved extended family and friends. She was a graduate of North High in Eastlake Ohio and lived for many years in Beatrice Nebraska while raising her children. She worked at Office Max call center in Mentor for many years and has lived the last 16 years in Madison, Ohio. Kathy was best known for her sharp wit and love for animals, she volunteered for Holy Cat Whiskers Cat rescue and served dutifully for the Board of Elections. She was a gifted wordsmith and an outspoken person. She wanted to remind everyone to vote and the importance of it. An incredible mother and grandmother, she was an energetic soul. She was remarkably unforgettable and will be deeply missed by everyone who's ever had the good fortune of meeting her. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19th, 2022, from 3pm – 5pm at Ducro Funeral Home 4524 Elm Ave. Ashtabula, OH 44004. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Holy Cat Whiskers Cat Rescue in Madison Ohio.
