Mary Alice Deems, 84, passed away on December 19, 2022, at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born on December 27, 1937, in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania to Silas and Mabel (Christopher) Nicholson.
Mary had worked as a secretary for the Geneva and Seven Hills (Cleveland) Schools Systems for many years.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Deems, Jr.; her brother, Ray Nicholson; and her sister, Betty Harshman.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Deems; her son, Keith (Luann) Deems; her granddaughter, Heather (Matt) DelValle; her great grandchildren, Carmen and Ninna DelValle; her brother-in-law, Melvin (Sue) Deems; and her nephew, Brad Nicholson.
Per Mary’s wishes, no calling hours will be held, and private services will be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
