Always a smile and a laugh. We sang a lot of karaoke together, but not nearly enough! A long time friend gone too soon! As we grieve here on earth we also rejoice in the hope that you and Kim are together again walking hand in hand across heaven. Rest in peace my friend!

No words can express the loss we feel with Kirk's passing. He was related through marriage but we always called him our brother-in-law because he was family to us. Paul was lucky to have worked for so many years with Kirk in their electrical adventures and travels. A smile always comes to mind when we think of Kirk. Our only peace is knowing he is in Heaven with God and his wife, Kim and his parents. I am sure it is going to make improvements to the brightness of the stars (always working). So, as you look up to the nighttime sky, know that those stars are being brightened by Kirk, the electrician and dear friend to everyone.

To my brother Kirk,
“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.”
Forgiveness does not erase the past, but looks upon it with compassion. To withhold forgiveness keeps alive emotions of hurt, anger, and blame which discolor your perception of life. To forgive means to avoid ruminating on thoughts of being wronged. Rather, trust the power of forgiveness to heal the hurt and pain. By holding on to pain and resentment, you suffer because the sorrow is intensified to keep it alive.
Despite peoples’ perceptions that forgiveness means to forget, its motive is preserved in self-forgiveness and the role you played in co-creating the circumstances.
This does not mean you consented to what transpired. Given your involvement, even as a victim, you forgive yourself regardless of your role.
Forgiveness means to let go of hatred, instead of allowing it to eat at your very soul.
In the 2009 film Invictus, Nelson Mandala played by the actor Morgan Freeman avows and states to the African National Congress in the show of defiance, “Forgiveness starts here… Forgiveness liberates the soul…It removes fear, that is why it is such a powerful weapon…. The past is the past.”
As you begin your journey to touch the face of God I will pray for you. I will remember and cherish the good times we had together, and I love you.
God Knows the Truth,
Jason
