Evelyn E. Garoutte, 81, of Ashtabula passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
A resident of Ashtabula County her whole life, Evelyn was born November 30, 1941, a daughter of the late Milton Urch, Sr., and Erdine Urch. In her spare time, she enjoyed making lamps with her husband, Billy and going to yard sales. A kind soul, Evelyn was an avid animal lover and treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Eric Perkins of Rockytop, TN, and Brenda Carroll of Ashtabula; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Garoutte; daughter, Peggy Hoplight; sons, Walter and Mark Perkins; grandson, Walter “AJ” Perkins, Jr.; siblings, Milton, Jr., Mary Jean, Herman, Ray, Roland, Ralph, Harold, and Duane; and her parents.
Graveside service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, Carpenter Rd & Myrtle Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004, with inurnment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ashtabula Animal Protect League, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004.
