NORTH KINGSVILLE - Joanne Oxley McGaha of North Kingsville passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at UH Geauga Medical Center, Chardon after a three month illness
Joanne was born December 5, 1957 to Carl and Shirley (Palo) Oxley.
She attended Edgewood High School leaving after her Junior year, entering Ohio State University as an Early Admissions Student receiving her BA degree in three years, working in various financial and accounting positions in Columbus and Cincinnati areas.
Joanne married William McGaha on June 20, 1981 and they celebrated their 41st Anniversary in 2022. They moved to the North Kingsville area where she obtained the position of Senior Administrator for Specialty Services for University Hospital Systems of Cleveland, Ohio.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley Oxley; her husband, Bill; brother, Carl (Darlene) Oxley and their two daughters, her cherished nieces, Jennifer (Austin) Byers and Christa (Zach) Laugen; sister, Vicki (Richard) Hoermann; step-son, James (Margie) McGaha; step-daughter, Debra (Art) McGaha-Fink; and many cousins and devoted friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Oxley on December 17, 2010.
At her request, no funeral services will be held. A gathering of family and friends will be announced at a future date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League.
