Obituary of Cynthia Ann Hoerr

Cynthia Ann Hoerr, 69, of Ashtabula passed away February 3, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital. Born July 23, 1953, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of the late John Charles and Hilda A. (Sironen) Waid and returned to Ashtabula 4 years ago to be close to her nieces and nephews after living in the Chicago area for 44 years. A 1972 graduate of Edgewood High School, she married the love of her life, Manfred Hoerr, on June 3, 1978 shortly after meeting at work. She was baptized in Bethany Lutheran Church and had many wonderful memories from her younger years there. She spent 25 years of her working career as office manager with Max Madsen Mitsubishi. Cindy appreciated the little things in life. She loved being social and spending time with her girlfriends. She truly enjoyed shopping and her cats, but treasured time with her family and particularly her nieces and nephews as much as anything in the world. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 44 years, Manfred Hoerr; brothers, Ronald (Lynn) Waid of Hudson and John (Renee) Waid of Ashtabula; sisters-in-law, Barbara (John) Barnett and Brigitte Matthews; nieces and nephews, Jenna (Kevin) Hogue and their children, Gibson and Kennedy and Michael (Kate) Waid and their children, Parker, Payton and Scarlett; her furry companions, Missy and Emmy. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents. At the request of her family, services will be held privately. She will be laid to rest with her parents at Edgewood Cemetery.
