Griffin C. Thompson, 70, of Ashtabula, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital.
Born June 13, 1952, in Louisville, MS, he was a son of the late Archie D. and Jurdean (Hoskins) Thompson. An Ashtabula resident for more than 30 years, Griffin worked at MFG for about 20 years and was a faithful member of Central Missionary Baptist Church in Jefferson.
Griffin is survived by his brother, Arthur (Doris) Thompson of Ashtabula and his sisters Jurlean House of Louisville, MI and Margaret (Marcus) Roberts of Jacksonville, FL as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Albert Thompson, Mary Richardson, Icylee Thompson, Elijah Thompson and Martha Brooks.
Calling hours will be held from 10AM to 11AM on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, immediately followed by the funeral service at 11AM. Pastor Willie Henry, pastor of Central Missionary Baptist Church, will be officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery.
