Obituary of Sandra Kay Newsome

Sandra K. Newsome Ashtabula - Sandra Kay Newsome, 79, while in the company of her loving family went to be with her husband, Lloyd on Thursday, March 16, 2023. The daughter of Corneal and Agnes (Wood) White, Sandra was born on April 7, 1943, in Ashtabula and remained a lifelong Ashtabula County resident. On October 10, 1959, Sandra married Lloyd Newsome, celebrating fifty-six years marriage before his passing on August 9, 2016. Sandra was a woman of many talents and interests; reading topped the list. The gift of a book was always a welcome surprise. Her flower gardens were bright and colorful, and she could name all the varieties of flowers for you. Her gardens gave her great pride and she would work tirelessly to keep them beautiful. When time permitted, a short trip to the casino was a nice highlight of her day. Sandra’s family was her world. A loving mom and doting grandma and great-grandma, her” babies” were never far from her heart. She enjoyed having her home filled with love and laughter from her family. Sandra is survived by those who loved her best; her children, Randall (Carleen) Newsome of Jefferson and Cindy (James Bucci) Offenberg of Ashtabula; seven grandchildren, Stacy (Charlie) Mock and Miranda (Juan) Aguinaga and Jeff (Deanna) Offenberg, Andrew (Kaitlyn) Offenberg, and Dustin Offenberg, Patricia and Hayden Bucci; loving great-grandchildren, Tryden, Trent, Andy, Emelia, Isabel, Alex, Maxi, Leo, Maverick, Carson, Jameson, Sara, and Jackson; siblings, Larry and Betty White, Edna Langston; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Newsome; siblings, James White, Evelyn (Roland) Cinciarilli, Carol Stiles and Jack White; her parents Corneal and Agnes White.
