Obituary of Adam L. Gildersleeve

Adam L. Gildersleeve, 35, of Lenox Twp., passed away unexpectedly at home Monday, April 3, 2023. He was born September 27, 1987, in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of Amos Gildersleeve, Sr., and Tracy Tyson. A lifelong area resident. Adam graduated from Lakeside High School Class of 2006. Adam married the love of his life Kelsey Cook on July 16, 2016. Adam worked as a welder at Aire Shyre for 13 years and was also a member of the Local Pipefitters Union #120.Adam enjoyed camping, riding 4-wheelers and tinkering around the house. But what he looked forward to most was family get togethers, his annual pig roasts, and spending time with his family. He was a kind, caring and supportive husband and father who will greatly be missed. Adam had a laugh that was one of a kind and a contagious smile that would light up a dark room. We loved his great sense of humor. He was a person who would give the shirt off his back for anyone who needed help. He was a great person with a big personality. He is survived by his loving wife Kelsey; his daughters, McKinsey, Alayna, and Isabella Gildersleeve; his bonus son, Stephen Heberling; his mother Tracy (Jim Bloom) Tyson; his siblings, Christy (Jeremie Welch) Gildersleeve, Amos “AJ” (Christina) Gildersleeve, Jr., and Madison Gildersleeve; his bonus brothers, Josh and Jeremy Bloom; his maternal grandparents, Tom and Judy Tyson; his cousin Josh Pal who was like a brother to him; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Adam was preceded in death by his father, Amos Gildersleeve, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Joann and Bud Johnson; and his cousin, Dustin Kirk. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 2-3:30PM with a service to follow at 3:30PM at the Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004. Burial of ashes will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11AM at Eagleville Cemetery in Austinburg. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made in his name to the family.
