John Dratwa, 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. John was born on June 4, 1932, in Pierpont, OH to the late Michael and Tekla Dratwa. He went on to marry his wife Jessie at the First United Methodist Church in Ashtabula. They went on to spend 63 years together until his passing. John enjoyed fishing, gardening, and dancing. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Jessie (Sloan) Dratwa and his children, Steven Dratwa, Mark Dratwa, and Charlene (Dratwa) Saulter. John also has 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly. Aside from his parents, John is preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Dratwa of CA, Joseph Dratwa of Cleveland, OH, Casper Dratwa of Keene, NH, Karol Dratwa of Mentor, OH, and Stanley Dratwa of Pierpont, OH; sisters, Katherine Jasek of Ashtabula, Frances Peake Corbin of Sonica, SC, Sophie Cave of Ashtabula, and Mary Campbell of Germantown, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ducro Funeral Services in assisting the family with funeral expenses. A Graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Pierpont, Ohio.
