Obituary of Terry Jeanette Hare

ASHTABULA – Terry Jeanette Hare, 62, of Plymouth Township passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born on September 28, 1960, in Conneaut, the daughter of Fred and Ruth (Frary) and had been a lifelong Ashtabula County resident. A 1979 graduate of Conneaut Rowe High School, she attended school in Columbus as an Animal Health Technician, then changed directions before obtaining her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Kent State University Ashtabula. Terry, a nurse since 1990, worked at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, Brown Memorial Hospital, and Ashtabula County Medical Center, where she worked mostly in 2 North, 2 South, and the Hospice Unit. She had a passion for caring for others. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was considered the “watchdog” of the family. She also loved going to the zoo, amusement parks, gardening, and hummingbirds. Terry was also a talented musician as well, playing the piano, French horn, clarinet, and flute. Her survivors include her husband, Christopher A. Hare, Sr., whom she married October 31, 1983; three children, Christopher A. Hare, Jr., Jeramie M. Hare, and Tami (Mike Brennan) Corona; her grandchildren, Jeramie M. Hare, Jr., Adalyn Baxter, and Amelia Brennan; her sisters, Dorothy Brainard, Edna Brainard, Maran (Mary) Hilgendorf, and Ruth Brainard; her brother, Edward Brainard; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Barbara Trautlein. Calling hours on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with a service to follow at 1:00PM at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Pastor Raymond Hadley of Lima, Terry’s nephew, will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Plymouth Township.
