Obituary of Michael Thomas Hutchinson, Jr.

Michael T. Hutchinson, Jr., 38, of Geneva passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 28, 2023 at his home. He was born October 18, 1984 in Ashtabula, the son of Michael Thomas Hutchinson, Sr. and Jacqueline (Gaskell) Hutchinson and had been an Ashtabula County resident most of his life, spending a few years in Florida. On July 16, 2009, he married the love of his life, Amy Candela, and together they shared many wonderful memories. He worked as a cook and also previously at Zehrco Plastics, among other jobs. Michael loved all music (especially heavy metal) and even sang Patsy Cline songs to his mother-in-law. He enjoyed working on vehicle sound systems and often tested the systems out in the local covered bridges. Michael enjoyed long conversations with friends and strangers alike, you would also find him playing a game of poker or simply scrolling through FaceBook. Michael loved his kids and family and cherished making dance TikTok’s with his daughter Juliann. His family will remember him as a loving father, his daughter always recorded their memories, for which she is so grateful for today. His children’s friends loved him as well, because he brought joy to them whenever they felt sad and was protective of them as well. Michael will be remembered as well for being unique, funny, and kindhearted, he was always there to lend a hand to someone in need. We all love you, you were the best dad, fly high! Survivors include his wife, Amy; three children, Jamie, Juliann, and Michael, III; siblings, James Lacy Hutchinson, Thomas Allen Hutchinson and Nicholas Alexander Hutchinson, Jason Matthew Hutchinson II and Raechel Leigh Coxe, both of Ashtabula; his mother, Jacqueline Hutchinson; his mother and father-in-law, Anthony and Hattie Candela; sisters-in-law, Sara (Chris) Whiting, and Ruby Downes; and his grandparents, Darrell Eugene and Kimberly Hutchinson, Ronald and Florie Gaskell and Susie Rannigan. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael T. Hutchinson, Sr. Calling hours will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, June 2, 2023 at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula. No formal services will be held.
