I will always remember your great smile, Big hug and your quote" It will be ok kid". I met you and Patty in the 80's, no matter what the situation, you always had something positive to say and often times funny. We have all laughed and cried together. I will never forget the support and comfort you gave to me and my family in 1998 when my son Jason was killed in a boating accident, by a drunk driver. You " the sheriff " were at the check in point at the court house, you would smile (as I cried), hug me and say "It will be ok kid".You have always helped others, even when you were ill: through the Knights of Columbus or AA. You have truly been doing Gods 12 step work, a very Spiritual Christian. I truly have no doubt that right now God is smiling at you, as he gives you a Big Hug, and he is saying "It will be ok kid". He loves you and he is taking you back home.
Love, Rosemary

Judi and I are deeply saddened in hearing of Ron’s passing. We wish you to be comforted as you are all being held in His hand at this time. Judi and I will never forget the times we had together at group functions, banquets and meetings . He helped more than we can ever count ‘carrying the message’ . He was a true member of our fellowship.

Patty and John,
I am just heart broken. I know you are too. Ron was such a wonderful human being. He will be missed, even though we haven’t seen him for awhile at the courthouse, it’s sad to know we won’t be greeted by his contagious smile. He knew everyone’s name when he worked the security desk and made a point to greet us by name every time he saw each of us. The world has lost an exceptional human being. God bless him, I know he’s soaring with the angels!!

In loving memory of my friend Ron who I have known for many years. I have so many wonderful memories of Ron first growing up as a child he and his family lived in my neighborhood I remember growing up with his sons Ron Brian and Duane. I remember he knew my dad at the time he was a deputy for the sheriffs department would visit my dad in his guitar shop. I also remember Ron as Santa Claus at the Geneva Library when my daughter was little. He was so wonderful with the kids. Nobody else ever made a better Santa Claus other than Ron Davis who loved children with all his heart. Ron loved to help people. I also remember going to Ron and Patty’s house for July 4 th. They would always have a big picnic every year. And working with Ron at Glenbeigh for many years was wonderful too. He was always so happy and always a kind word to say to everyone. Wonderful memories that I will never forget. My condolences go out to Patty and sons Ron Brian and Duane. Love you all so much. Linda (Banzer)Thompson.

I was saddened to read of Ron's passing. My sincere sympathy to Patty and family. Ron had a warm, caring personality to go along with his million dollar smile, and wicked wit - an unforgettable combination. As an Ashtabula County Sheriff's Patrol member many years ago, it was my pleasure to have worked with Ron. Last year, I was lucky enough to see Ron once again at a Sacred Heart cabbage roll dinner. He was volunteering as usual (this time for the Knights of Columbus). What a delight that was! He had not changed! Rest in peace Ron, you made the world a better place, you will be missed.

Jim and I were shocked and saddened to hear about Ron’s passing. Pat Hunter messaged me his obituary and I am devastated that we cannot be there in person to express our deepest sympathy and love for Ron to Pat and the rest of his family as we are currently on vacation and not due back until Sunday. Ron was perhaps the kindest and most sincere man I have ever met. I feel blessed that during this last year we got to know Ron much better . His brave fight and endurance throughout his illness will serve as an inspiration to us. And his kind gift of the Vietnam Veteran hat to Jim will be cherished by both of us. God bless you Ron. We love you.
