Rest in Peace, Uncle Al:
I have many fond memories of you from growing up as a kid and visiting you and the family on Austinburg Rd. to going to your dealership when I was a little girl. I used to love hanging out there for the day because it usually meant I could walk next door with you to get an ice cream and hot dog from Dairy Queen! Mostly, I remember how close you always were with my Dad and how much fun you two always had together. You had a lot in common from coffee to cars and would often go to Perkins and have your morning coffee together and talk about "what's happening" in the world, but most likely about cars and stories about your customers, or some great deal you made.I always loved listening to your stories.
You could always spot a good deal and were so good at your craft (I will fondly remember you as "Trader Al"). I used to enjoy coming over as an adult after I moved to Florida and visiting with you and Gail. I remember our rides to GOTL and stopping by Eddie's for lunch and you keeping me up to speed on all things 'Bula'.
I will miss our times together and the visits, but I have my memories and pictures/videos too! I won't share those because it's of all of us at your pool in our swimsuits and I know Gail would come after me and my Mom would haunt me!! (LOL)
Most people have a stairway to heaven, but I know you had a racetrack, and my Dad was right there waiting for you in some old red Chevy pickup. I'm certain he had your coffee waiting for you, and as he drove you home, you guys were catching up on how the Indians had to change their name and you let him know how much cars have changed over the past decade. Please give our love to my Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandad, Aunt Bobby, and the rest of our loved ones.
We will miss you---Keep motoring!! <3 Debbie (Sparks-Delgado)

Just went to my Dad's tribute page from when he passed away in 2011 and saw Uncle Al's tribute:

My fondest memory of Al was the year that I was invited on his family vacation. I was in my early teens, tall and thin with dark hair so I looked very much like I could be Al’s daughter. Frequently on our trip people would ask me to go “ask my dad” or “sit by my dad”. Every time it happened Al and I would glance at each other and smile. Not having a father present in my life, those moments of Al playing along like I was on vacation with “my dad” made for some great memories. I will be forever grateful. My prayers are surrounding family at this difficult time.
Love, Vicki
