Obituary of Thomas Jeremy Barris

Thomas "Jeremy" Barris Jeremy was born on June 20, 1975, in Fort Ord, California. He died on January 1, 2023, in Erie, PA. He was at home giving and receiving love with his mother and sisters. Jeremy lived in California until he was three when he moved to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii with his military family. After Hawaii, the family moved back home, and Jeremy spent the rest of his life in the Northwest PA/Northeast Ohio area. His time as a young boy romping the beaches of Hawaii with his sisters led to a lifelong love of aquariums that we all shared. He loved animals and nature, motorcycles, and dirt bikes, hunting and fishing with his brother-in-law/friend. He loved music and would burst into silly made up song out of nowhere. But mostly he was a family man, fiercely loyal to those he loved. His wife and two boys were the loves of his life, and he was an extremely involved and loving father until he physically couldn't be anymore. Jeremy spent 1/3 of his life living with unimaginable adversity but his love for his family shone brightly through it all. Jeremy is survived by his sons, Austin Barris of Youngstown, OH and Chance Barris of Conneaut, OH, his mother, Dolores Carrier of Erie PA, his father and stepmother, Thomas and Sue Barris of Kingsville, OH, his sisters Charity Spinelli (Ron) of Erie, PA and Destiny Barris of Erie, PA. He also had numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
