William Allen Johnson, Jr., 61, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at his home after a seven year battle with cancer.
Born in Greenville, Ohio on April 2, 1961, the son of William A. and Joyce (Deeter) Johnson.
March 29, 1980, William and Angela Gevelaar were united in marriage and would have celebrated 43 years of marriage this year.
William, an area resident for over 40 years, worked as a landscaper, working for Dutch’s and LB Landscaping in Newbury, Ohio.
William enjoyed music of all kinds. He at one time played guitar in a band called Nothing Fancy in the 80’s with his wife, Angela. He was also an avid collector of many things including, football cards, movies, and albums to name a few. William loved the outdoors, where he loved to hike and fish.
William is survived by his wife, Angela; children, Jessica (Russell) Shaffer and William (Becky) Johnson III; sisters, Marilyn Kiddle and Debbie Brest; grandchildren, Tori Shaffer, Isadora Johnson, and Nolan Johnson; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Per William’s wishes, his body was donated to the Cleveland Clinic.
